How iNtegra Counselling is different from regular counselors
Our work with couples is based partially on the philosophical approaches of the many masters. We do not become too focused on any one style of therapy, as it limits the work we can effectively do with couples. We are flexible in our counseling style and work to stay continuously aware of all of the new approaches in the field of couples counseling.
We are all individuals, and therefore some methods of therapy are more suitable for some people, and other methods may be ineffective.
From these approaches, we have developed our independent style of iNtegra therapy that is unlike any other. We will use Family Systems, Relational, Solution Focused, as well as Emotional Attachment forms of treatment such as Breathwork Therapy.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) can be used to treat people with a wide range of mental health problems.
CBT is based on the idea that how we think (cognition), how we feel (emotion) and how we act (behavior) all interact together. Precisely, our thoughts determine our feelings and our behavior.
Therefore, cynical – and unrealistic – thoughts can cause our distress and result in problems. When a person suffers from psychological distress, the way in which they interpret situations becomes skewed, which in turn has a negative impact on the actions they take.
